I prefer it with the trim, looks kinda naked without it. Hi boy, that picture sure looks like it was taken in Florida and not big sky country, am I right?
RONZI id have to say with trim looks GREAT!!!!! Nice truck!!! thank you guys for your oppinion.. i do plan to keep it red (viper red i think is the color.. odd though how is called that considering its a FORD and not a DODGE.) i think i will just KEEP the trim.. thanks again fellas..
here it is when i first got it this winter with 44s
and now with 35s (sorry this is all the photos i got right now)
notice it HAD a passenger mirror. but now theres a dent and no mirror. thats what you get with bald 44s and 3+ feet of snow and a man anxious to play in his new truck

personally i prefer without trim. i like a cleaner look. no trim. no FORD letters on the hood.
i just like a cleaner look. however yours does look good with the trim.
I have the racetrack trim on mine. I'm taking it off and filling in the holes/cutting off the pegs where the trim had been. It will be a long while before I finish this endeavor - I'm starting with the bed... If you can see how much rust and crap accumulated under the trim over the years, you'd understand why I'm doing this...
After I painted it I knew I was going to buy all new trim and decided it would be cheaper to just do away with the bottom stuff. I would have kept it if I had 2 toned the paint job but once again it was cheaper to just go one color and only upper trim.
Im happy with the results but I think it would have looked better with a 2 tone paint job and the race track trim.
I usally say no trim as the truck I am restoring came without it. I just had an idea though. The parts truck I bought for the body has the trim. I'm going to be painting the truck a bright blue. kinda close to the color on some of the toyota trucks. I dont like shiny or chrome so the front end and bumpers will be powdercoated black. Si I just had the thought that if I powdercoat the trim black as well that could look killer.
hey RONZI i noticed that in the pic with the trim you also added the chrome door trim.. i dnt knw if the truck would look as good if you didnt have that.. you wouldnt happen to have a pic with the side trim but without the door trim would you???

I think you are talking about the drip rail trim? This is the only pic I could find after the paint job before I put that trim on....
The black truck looks pimp with the upper trim only!!
What size rubber are you running on it?
On my truck, I've got the full trim (like in Ronzi's, two pics up from here) - am thinking about keeping the dark blue above & below the trim, and white or silver inside the "track"

My tires are 39.5 Super Swampers.
I think the 2 tone paint job you are talking about along with the upper and lower trim looks best on these trucks.
