Soup bowl:
YouTube - What is the 'Soup Bowl' on early Ford diesels?

just take a grinder and cut that sucker off.

I got my pyro out of an old semi, but they can be had at NAPA I think, and they can be got online.

the pyro doesnt really help with performance. You just need to have it to make sure your motor isnt getting to hot.

Well the temp gauge monitors coolant temp, a pyro measures exhaust gas temps. Put a pyro in and you can play with the IP some. Most people consider the stock gauge to just be a glorified dummy light.

Thats cause they are ignorant ...

Black smoke is raw fuel, raw fuel washes the cylinders ruining them not to mention the enviro police and the hundred other reasons!

Those in the know, laugh at those that roll smoke.

A proper burn performs better more efficiently, Vapor trails are where it's at!

-Enjoy

^ +1, but then again they are in texas... You could go up 1 flat without a pyro i would guess, and as long as you dont lug it or anything im sure you would be safe without a pyro... Well i hope anyway cuz thats what im about to go do. You want smoke buy a dodge... engines arent supposed to smoke... well alot.
