6637 Filter Cross Reference Questions

Hi all,

So I have been reading all about this filter mod. Great stuff! But I have some questions....

B085011 is the Donaldson part number
6637 is the Wix/Napa part number

Some have stated that they are not the same filter - Donaldson is water resistant where Wix is not.

So Napa sells the 6637 for 58.49.
I put in B085011 in the search on the Napa site and it came back as "TWD B085011" - for 43.99. Is this the actual Donaldson filter? Napa guy did not know. Link to description on Napa site : http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Det...011_0000999999

TWD B085011, if it is the correct one ( and "better" than the 6637) is the same cost as the 6637 from FleetFilter.com (shipped to me at a 11.72)

Can someone help clear this up??

I can help. Go to Riffraff Diesel and get his kit. It has everything you need for less than what you are talking about spending for the filter alone.

Thanks for the link! So will this replace my K&N tube or attach to it? Wondering if I need the kit - which is $82 shipped as opposed to a $43 filter possibly!

The water resistant model number is for Donaldson B085046. The B085011 is exactly the same as the 6637, the 46637, and the Baldwin PA2818.

if you still have the stock horn going onto the turbo..all you need is a piece of 4" exhaust pipe to make it work...im not sure about your K&N tube..it may work..try it first..

X2, Clux has it nailed. The Donaldson B085046 was made for high humidity environments.

So here is a pic of my setup:

Are you saying take out tube to the orange connector or beyond it? Then get a pipe?

I had the same exact set up as you before my 6637. You can use the K&N tube, its what I use. As for the shield, I had it crammed between the shield and the battery for a while, but like i said, its crammed. So I just took out the K&N shield. Then youre all set.

And no you don't need to do anything with the orange boot. They were just saying that if you had the stock intake tube.
