ac/heater temp control

Hey guys, new to this so bare with me. 98 F150 w/ 4.6 v8. My ac/heat control has stopped working in a mid range position. Have changed the rheostat on the dash panel--no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks

the temp is controled by an electric motor that runs a door between the cold and hot ducts. the air is mixed to get the temp you want. if you have hot, or cold, and not in the middle, then the door must be sticking or jumping past center when stroked. I assume you are not always hot, or always cold, as the door or lever arm would be broken... take off the plastic dash panel above the trans hump, below the radio, i think you can see the motor and lever movement after that.
