Pulled dash to replace heater core, but..

The ac/heat is only blowing out of the defrost only. Where is the blend door that controls the vent/floor/defrost located at.

What could cause this problem.

Right on the interior side of the heater core. You need to pull it to get the core out. If your AC/Heat is only blowing out the defrost vent and your getting cold and/or warm are out this vent when you adjust the temperature, then your issue isn't the blend door, you most likly have a vacuum leak somewhere. These vacuum leaks are commonly either the fittings on the PCV valve or theres a small line that runs behind the battery that have been know to get worn and leak also. Check these first

Thanks but It fixed itself. The heater core we replaced. Think it just needed a a minute or so to build up vacuum after having the whole system tore apart for a few days.

Works fine now.

Thanks,
