It's always fun to install new, or new-to-us, go fast parts. we hop in the seat and let her rip. most of the time just being happy to notice the difference by feeling it in our fourth point of contact.
I'd like to be able to give folks some frame of reference when they start looking into investments for their engines...real numbers/results.
Does anyone have dyno numbers? charts? flow sheets? if not, who'd be interested in pulling together resources and actually running their rig on a dyno so we can see the differences with swapping intake/exhaust setups? i've got three different 300s...one bone stock, another well tuned and a few upgrades, and the last is built pretty potent. all naturally aspirated. i'd be willing to give up a weekend and drive to a dyno to make this happen.
i understand each truck is different, and should be tuned individually, but it shouldn't have to be such a guessing game either.
That's something that I've been heavily considering, now that my Bronco's finally running how I want it.
The speed shop locally charges $75 for about 3 pulls on the dyno, and I'd be really fascinated to see just what kind of numbers good bolt-ons do. It may not be until summer, but it's something I want to do in the near future.
wow so its been a minute or two. likewise...its been a while since i've been thru the boise area. i'd be willing to do the trip for some real numbers and results for the forum, and my own piece of mind.
I am going to give it a try. I am using a offenhauser DP intake manifold and a HD 300 Intake manifold. Dose anyone know what bolt size are used to attract the intake to the exhaust manifold?
