intermittent electrical issues
I have a 1996 F-150 XL. It has about 180XXX miles on it, and has recently had both fuel pumps replaced. Ive owned the truck since January and for the most part it has run extremely well. A few weeks ago it began having trouble starting, the truck will attempt to crank over but just won't quite turn over. Usually turning after turning the key from "off" to "run" a few times it would turn over and run fine. Three days ago it began literally dying while I was on the road. While driving the power steering would quit, the battery light would flash on and the truck would quit running. Once I pull off, turn the truck off, and turn it back on it works fine again. The battery and alternator have both been checked and are in working order. Could this be a faulty ignition switch or coil? any info would be helpful. Thanks!
