Compressor wheel

Hey guys,

I'm currently running a WW but have read somewhere about guys using the stock wheel and have it balanced. What would the benefit be for doing that and what advantage (if any) would it have over a WW?

What year is your truck? The WW was a stock wheel for the early 99's and OBS trucks. The advantage to the WW is it helps with surge issues common when a good chip is installed.

Sorry, I need to fill out my sig.

2000 Excursion, I'm aware of the surging issues but I was curious why some would have their wheel balanced and not install a WW?

It should be balanced from Garrett already, if it's the stock wheel. When you install a WW, some suggest re-balancing it, but I'm not aware of any issues when folks don't.
