i run plats... :/ thanks for the heads up kemical. ill be watching for that. wonder what makes certain plugs not work? you would think that a plug is a plug.
think the problem solved I sea foamed thru the brake vacuum line today not lunging or missing.
soooo it was the injectors need cleaning. A big thanks to all for the responces John Carter
if you pulled thru the vacum line it wouldnt run thru the injectors. sounds to me like you had some serious carbon deposits. I highly recommend you change your oil and filter, remember dont use fram oil filters either. purolator, motorcraft & mobil 1 filters. You might also check your plugs to make sure they are still in good shape. ive had cases where the seafoam disloged stuff and messed up the plugs
Platinum is known to last longer but is a worse conductor of electricity compared to copper.
Wow thanks kemical did not no that about plats
I also see foamed through the brake vac hose did not help at all I definetly need to replace old patched vac lines but its all air tight justt need to get rid of plastic that keeps breaking and kick down with new injectors I will bet it solves my problem
I will also get some new copper plugs tried to advance timing but it reset to 10 Deg.
I did disconect the spout then set timing after I set timing and tightend the distributer nut I re checked the timing and shut off the engine before i reconected the spout
The question is, when you reset base timing was the engine at full operating temperature?
If not, you can still have issues.
Base timing not only requires that you remove the SPOUT connector but the engine must also be at full op. temp. Then you must reconnect the SPOUT connector, clear fault codes and restart the engine. Failing any of this can leave the timing off and PIP sensor fault codes present.
MIne did the same exact thing. It was electric EGR valve. You usually have to replace the metal tube that hooks to it because it tends to twist in half when you remove it.It didn't show any codes either.Just a thought.
