I'm finally getting back to my project and trying to reassemble the front brakes which I took off a while back. When the backing plate goes back on the spindle, is the wheel cylinder in the 12 oclock position/up? or in the 6 oclock position/down? The backing plates are on the workbench and I'm afraid I've mixed them up. Thanks for the help.
Thanks Julie. At least I got it half right. I have the small shoe towards the rear. I'll break it down and change it and I'll know better tomorrow when I move to the passenger side. Thanks for mentioning the correct position of the shoes as I did not discern a difference as I laid them out prior to assembly.
Don't think so, I can see the drag link in the second one and rears don't have the "cup" over the bearings. The shoes have cutouts for the e-brake links, tho.
