t case questions
i know the zf in my diesel is not the same as a gas truck but what about the transfer case? i just drove my truck 1400 kilometers and now i have a whine when i accelerate its getting worse and weird things are starting to happen like it almost seems like the truck starts to hold back a bit and the 4x4 will not engage anymore anyway i have no idea what a t case rebuild would cost me yet but i like cheep and i can get a gas transfer case from pick a part for cheep but i know they have no diesels so would the gasser t case fit my zf ? thanx for any and all help

Gas and diesel transfer cases are the same.
Are you sure the noise is coming from the transfer case? How are the driveline u joints? Front axle u joints? Have the spindle bearings ever been serviced?
Have you checked the oil levels in the front axle and t-case?

ya i have replaced just about everything on my truck all u joints tranny/t case oil bearings where greased last year its been a never ending battle lol
and i have got under it and listened now im worried it may be my tranny im getting worried im going to pull the t case tomorrow and see if i can find anything that is lose inside
