Well I am heading out to the other room to start the tranny removal process again. Of course I drained the tranny fluid out this morning and now I have to jack it up to get the ramps under it. I knew I should have drove it up on the ramps before I drained it.
you wanted it backed up on the ramp anyhow, and you couldn't. So blame it on the tranny!
Troy, bummer to hear there was no easy solution....
At least one is coming now. You gonna have it ready to go, or do you need help this weekend? Let me know. Of course, It'd make great sense. That'd be three weekends in a row I saw you! LOL
Yeah Dave it would make sense to see you three weekends in a row! Lol Yeah I will have it ready to go by the time the tranny gets here. I am down here working on it tonight. I will let you know if I need help later on in the week when I find out when it has been shipped. They are suppose to call when it ships out. Well I better get back to work. At least I know what I need for tools this time! haha
Troy I could come out early early early Sat morning. I won't mind getting under the truck to help if there are only 3-1 (2) of us. Let me know I don't mind getting out there early. Just let me know
On another note, the fella's on the 99-03 forum say that the blue smoke could be the sign of bad rings. AAARRRGGGGHHHH. On a better side if I need a motor there is a company in Faribault that I am calling tomorrow to get the pricing on puttin in a cummins. Gees I hope its not the rings and then again a cummins wouldn't be a bad thing. Ok I really really really hope its not the motor going...........
Well I got alot off already on the truck. I just have torque converter bolts, tranny cooler lines and and bellhousing bolts and it is ready to come down again. I am getting pretty good at this tranny R & R thing.
Tom thanks for the offer I will let you know! I was also reading your thread up in the 7.3 forum. I sure hope your motor is not going south on ya! Just gonna throw this out there but have you thought about pulling your mods off and trading the truck of on a different one maybe a crew cab? With whatever you decide if you need anything just hollar three times I will be there! Lol
Your right Tom I do have three trucks in my sig and they all have the 7.3. Lol Geez Tom if you get a new truck will you still hang with us guys down here? haha Make sure the toolbox fits before you buy it!!
