I don't know. Michelle says to leave it alone, but I just wonder how much differance it would make. Is it worth the money to do it, i do not know, but from what I have read everyone says it turns it into a different truck.
Isn't an edge all wheel drive? Looks like a pretty sandy ramp, but they sure backed in the water really far. Sure glad I have a 4x4 for some of the lakes I use.
It will make it feel like twice the truck Lee. If you are gonna keep it around for a lot longer it's worth it. If your not sure about that, then maybe not...
It is AWD Lee, and the pics I have of before aren't on my phone now for some reason...
But they were in about three feet more originally...
It's a tough ramp to handle pure sand, and doesn't get deep fast at all, but still. There was a Dodge Intrepid that got it in just fine. I'm thinking this girls Husband will never let her put the boat in again...
The more I look at that picture, that guy is a fool, he has a roller trailer, it would have just rolled off. He will never be able to get it out once a boat is on it. I usually pull a couple people out at the boat landings every year.
Yeah, you should have seen them trying to get it out with like 15 people pushing it. They were pushing from the back, which just kept lifting it up. They need to go to the window frames and push and it probably would have come out. But it was too funny to watch.
Like I said, the best was when the whole beach clapped after they got it out! Like 300 people! LOL
My nieces old boyfriend got his S10 Blazer stuck in the snow on the edge of the lake when they went ice skating. I still had my Dodge at the time, and didn;t really care too much about what I did with it. He had a buddy of his try with an F150, then my brother in law tried with his Dodge 1500.
I pulled in and threw on the ****** rope. Back up to hos bumper, and hit it, he passed me on his way out of the drift. He got out and was shaking and said his neck hurt. I then learned that he had never been stuck or pulled out before.
I remember once I was at Ridgedale and this guy in his Nissan Pickup was blasting through the pile the plows push up. He hit the first one and went through. But the second one was bigger. He high centered it right on the pile of snow.
It was great. I watched him try to get it out for at least 15 minutes. Then drove over and asked if he needed help. I had my Expedition at the time. So first I drove right through the pile like it was nothing, then hooked up and pulled him out. On the way out I told him to get a real truck the next time he wanted to go over bumps. He just smiled and said, nothing...
Well Dave, I am going to hit the hay. You have a good night.
If you are still interested, I am probably going to swap the gears if I get some profit sharing in June, (that way Michelle won't know until they are done) so if you can get a chance to price the parts, that would be great. Thanks
