6 bass is not too bad for a boat with no anchor and one paddle and high wind.
Its better than being up ------ creek without a paddle.

Are they still in the deep and latargic; also any size to them?

nothing over 2 lbs so I threw them back, still deep and not too much energy, although this lake is at about 5,000 feet and still cold.
here is a shot of the lake last year!

and some fish from last year

That looks really nice, it looks like its secluded, is it?
That stringer pic was a real winner.

I either missed the crappie spawn this year or they are about fished out of my usual fish hole.

A few yrs back I was on a deer lease and there was a small lake there, the bass fishing was fantastic. Of course we would catch 3 too small and then a keeper. But it was great. Had some really good success with banjo lures.

Does that lake swing around the corner in the back of the picture?

5 miles past a locked gate, 180,000 acre ranch. no one else is allowed to fish there!
the lake does go a little bit around the corner but not much.
That stringer was maybe 20 minutes of fishing! a good weekend in 100 + BASS!
no limit as it is private water.
