Glad to hear everything is going better for you Rogue.
If I had to move right now I would need several semi's and several car haulers. I'm in the process of selling off a bunch of my cars and parts. I wish I didn't have to, but I only have so many pallets and tarps to put things on. I should start a charity for helping me build a new shed so I can keep rebuilding cars. Guess I'll just be doing it outside. First things that will be going will be all my GM parts (80's full-size, 64-66 Chevy truck, 64 Chevelle), then my Fairmont/Zephyr parts, then sadly my Aspen/Volare stuff.
That's funny Kirby, reminds me of the toyota thing, speeding wildly out of control....he was doing 65! To me speeding wildly out of control is like 160mph. I know what it's like having a vehicle without a good top end though, downhill you reach 60mph, holy crap she going to come apart! lol
Well I started tearing into my Falcon again. Thought I could just weld up a a couple of patches to seal up the trunk so I would not get exhaust fumes in my car. Of course that wasn't going to happen. The left rear was patched with metal and the inner wheel well was not attended to so I have to make a new patch. The right rear was completely done with fiberglass and bondo. So now I need to make an entire new rear quarter and trunk drop off and inner and outer wheel well. On another note after three flat tires on my truck I have come up with enough wheels and tires for my truck, can you guess which one(s) are not Dodge?? And hopefully I will get all my parts tomorrow to put it all back together and hopefully it will work. I couldn't get a decent picture of the right front with the white spoker, parked to close to the silo.
hey I like your stepside man. I'm trying to get my truck inspection-ready, my horn keeps crapping out so i'm running new wire to the battery for that this week. And i need 4 used-ish tires that will pass inspection.
anyway happy may people hope everyone isn't hung over from cinco de mayo
craigslist is garbage in my area unless you want some flashy 22" rims or spinners etc. or some 33" tires someones been wheelin with for 2 years and want to sell for 800 bucks lol
Hope you all had fun with your mother's today and were nice to the ones that deserved it . My brother took my mom to Harbor Freight to get some tools then to Mcd's where after you eat the food it starts to eat you back.
Today was my birthday too, so I spent it pounding, welding, cursing, pounding, grinding, sanding, cursing........I mean working on my 61 Falcon again, two more panels to make and weld in then we'll see if it runs again after I fixed it
Well, since mom was out of town, and I am a happily divorced person, I went autocrossing. Brought home 1st in CSP, and 3rd in the open street tire indexed class. I was actually faster than 2nd place, but the index time multiplier took my .25 seconds quicker, and turned it into .90 seconds slower........ CSP has a much stiffer multiplier than any of the stock classes, so I just barely failed to cover the extra needed to beat that bullit edition mustang. Good thing it was piloted by a freind. He was sure I beat him, but after the maths were done, he got me.
So Rogue how's the new situation working out? Sounds like you're still enjoying the Mazda. I'd love to see more pics of you racing.
Well I had to put more fuel in my truck as so many people are test driving it. And I had to see how well these goodyears burn compared to the bfgoodrichs. The goodyears make more smoke and grip much faster, interesting. Lots of test drivers and lookers, but no buyers on it yet. My cars seem to sell faster at the beginning of the month so we'll see what happens. Everything seems to work great on my truck now. It's trying to lure me into not selling it so it can break again
Recently I tried a couple of products that I have not used before. I usually use Evercoats metal to metal, this time I tried USC's all-metal. The all-metal does not lay down nice and does not sand well, so in my opinion even though it's twice the cost metal to metal is still worth the price. Also when using any kind of filler I highly reccomend using a paste type hardner not the liquid type, the paste mixes better and gives a more even hardness throughout. I also having been using POR-15 for a long time and decided to try Zero Rust. Although it takes a little less prep work I do no like the zero rust either. It also does not lay down nice, and it does come in different colors but the black for POR-15 looks much better as. So even though POR-15 is twice the cost I feel it too is still worth the price. And I personally think the POR hardnose paint is the best stuff ever, it takes lots of prep work, but is worth it, I have it on the underside of a couple of cars and the paint has no chips and is still shiny even after numerous trips down gravel roads. But if prepped wrong it will chip. Just thought I share my latest attempts to save money, which didn't work.

I'm liking it here quite well. Still trying to get everything in order, and wish there was a garage, but carport will have to do.
I have always enjoyed driving that car, but I find it to be a bit concerning too. Too many people drive like idiots these days, and that car isn't exactly built the safest, if ya know what I mean.
There was a guy shooting video at our last event, and he said it should be posted soon. I'll post a link to it when it comes up. Hopefully, there will be some good shots of my car....
