Magic Air heater emblems

Would anybody be interested if I have the 1951 magic air emblem reproduced? I dont want to do the 52 because it would cost too much, but I know a lot of these are missing and people need them. Would anybody want to buy any?

Oh Wow!

That would be quite a thing. If yo do have them made and can sell them for under $40, I'll buy one or two.

Put me down for a couple.

Plus, you can market them to all of the repro warehouses like Denny does with the heater boots and NPD(??).

I say it's worth a limited production (trial) run.

Looks like another repro item we need !! I would definitely be interested .I will need at least three .If I could get in touch with you or the person reproducing them I would like to talk to them about making the '52 motor cover badge . I think these would be a great item to reproduce since I have a few Magic Air heaters near complete resto and am getting 2 more end of May and 1 more '52 fresh air tube .Have some of these all restoed also . I have had inquires about the '52 badge .Thanks , Denny

Well the 52 emblem would be tough because of all the embossed letters. I was thinking more toward having a decal made that looks like the 52 model. I know that it would be awesome to have the exact 52 repop, but I think it will cost a lot, but I can look into it.

Put me down for a 51 and a 52 cover or maybe 2 51's if the 52's don't work out.

So the only difference between a '51 & a '52 badge is the color of the Magic Air , Red for '51 & Light Yellow for '52 ? I have seen a badge that has the Magic Air in different raised font . Would that be a Merc. truck badge or a '51 .? Any one have a pic of this they could post ?
While at my buddies 4 axis CNC shop next week I will ask him if he is up to the challenge of making the '52 badge .I know he has the knowledge and equipment . I have seen some of his work and it is impressive . Maybe another item to add to firstrider's reproduction package !
Ilya could you post a pic of a '51 badge just to confirm ? Thanks , Denny

Hi Denny,

I copied Ilyas picture that Blue Oval Ridge copied in our heater core discussion. Here is what they said was the 52 emblem, the one you show is the 51:

I wouldn't think these would be too tough to make. It looks like its just a button that was an aluminum dics pressed on a stamp then painted. Just need to make the patterns - a stamp.

Looks to me like this is well beyond the "thinking about" phase. Here's his eBay listing. Stu

Well I figured someone would find it eventually. I wanted to sell one and see what they will bring. I know the first few will probably go high, then the price will settle down. I just did not want to price them to anyone out of wack.

The emblem fifty-two_f1 has on ebay is for a 1952 Magic Air .Just like the emblems I have for the Magic Air heaters under resto going on now .The emblem in the pic Julie posted from Ilya's gallery is a 1951 Magic Air heater badge . Correct ? Does anyone know if the Merc. trucks that were equipped with Magic Air heaters coinsided with that ? I WILL be getting a few of the motor cover badges from the very talented man who made them . I am impressed !! Thanks , Denny
