Afternoon gentlemen....just passing through when this post caught my eye. Although the original poster seems to have made his choice, I thought I'd post up a picture of a nice brush guard I've had my eye on for a while.
I would have pulled the trigger a while ago if my daughter hadn't decided that college was important!...go figure.
OK, I had to have a local fabricator install my Black Horse guard because it is for 1997+ vans and mine is a 1996. Apparently the frame changed between those years, so we had to weld the brackets to the frame. $200 later, here is the final product.

I emailed them for more info, but I happen to be in Portland so I am going to cruise by there for a closer look.

I emailed Quadvan and they replied...
We currently do not have a front grill guard for our vans.

Well, my Black Horse grill just showed up via freight truck. The freight company told me between 8am and 2pm, but I had to leave for ten minutes and wouldn't you know that is exactly when they showed up! Luckily I told my to be on the lookout and he signed for the package.
The protective packaging that they bundled onto this guard is ridiculously satisfying. It took me ten minutes just to cut everything off with a utility knife. I think this could have gotten dropped a few times and I still would never know! Not a scratch on it. Bravo Black Horse! And $370 for this including the freight to Oregon from the east coast? Can't beat that!
I am going to try to find time to install it in a week or two. I will post with the results.
Darren Driven,
Are you still using this Grille Guard?? Black Horse does not make it anymore & I cannot find anyone else that makes one either!! I will pay you exactly what you paid for it!! Please!!!

The frame on my rig was damaged from a prior accident, so the grill guard was actually modified and welded to the vehicle. I know that the company that bought the rig from me has since sold it and I don't really think it's worth going through all of the trouble to track it down, sorry.
I'm searching for this grill guard from your post and was hoping you could give me more details (Model number, name...)? The link to the site is not available.
