I just picked up a 1996 E350 and I would like to install a brush guard onto it. Choices seem to be VERY limited. Please reply if you can add to this list. Here is what I found so far.

I want an offroad bumper, the heavy duty type, as I push buggies out of my way, but I'll not spend that kind of money, guess I need to hit the scrap yard, cut and form one myself, then I'll find someone to weld it.
they are a bit on the spendy side, but well worth it. just a thought, try seeing if they have any "blems" maybe one that got knicked or scratched, Sportsmobile sells them as oe on their trucks maybe they have some damaged ones. worth a try.
i looked at these ones too, preferred the aluminess ones due to weight as the road armor ones were made of steel and powder coated. they are not cheap either but really look sharp.
I put a push bar without the headlamp guards on my 99 E-350 7 years ago, got it from JCWhitney, I'd not spent that kind of money on that stuff after seeing it after an accident, does more damage than without it.
everyone's in titled to their opinion, no matter what i hit it's not going to be pleasant for either party but i didn't buy my bumpers for the purpose of ramming people around (even though the thought runs across my mind every day in traffic or when some deuche is poking along in the fast lane)
Well, my Black Horse grill just showed up via freight truck. The freight company told me between 8am and 2pm, but I had to leave for ten minutes and wouldn't you know that is exactly when they showed up! Luckily I told my to be on the lookout and he signed for the package.
The protective packaging that they bundled onto this guard is ridiculously satisfying. It took me ten minutes just to cut everything off with a utility knife. I think this could have gotten dropped a few times and I still would never know! Not a scratch on it. Bravo Black Horse! And $370 for this including the freight to Oregon from the east coast? Can't beat that!
I am going to try to find time to install it in a week or two. I will post with the results.
Yeah, mine is for looks only. I just want my short bus to look a little meaner. The bus is getting painted black and I'm going to throw some lights on the grill. Should do the job.
I need one that replaces the factory bumper, has a 2" receiver and tow hooks and is tough enough to take some real abuse.
Today I used the one on my F350 to roll a junk car onto its roof to pull the gas tank.
Then used it to ram the car ( still upside down) onto the trailer for the trip to the scrap yard.
I want one like that for the E350, but they are $1,000-2,000!
Plus it would need to have the camber ajusted with 500 pounds hanging off the front.
The protective packaging that they bundled onto this guard is ridiculously satisfying.
Be glad they did it right. I once bought a "Shrockworks" bumper and between the 200 lb steel assembly being loose in a plain cardboard box with the bag of mounting hardware (including 10 lb. metal plates) tossed inside, the powder coating was all nicked up. The thing was already 2 months late, and their customer service was just about non-existant, so beyond a nasty email I didn't seek any retribution (beyond informing the public about them when I can).
You can take down the Road Armor one. This is the reply I got from Laura there:
Hi james,
We do not carry that line anymore. We only special orders for E350 vans in lots of 5 or more.
