I read several solution online and none fit. The chimney box is located on the left side of the radio location. Remove radio bezel assembly and you will notice a black plastic box, that little noisy tird is inside of that.
Unplug the two harness connectors and a 8 mm bolt on the low side and pull down and out. You will see two tangs that will open the box. Look at the circuit board and you will see a circular chime with a tiny hole and see silver metal in that hole.I took some duct tape and made a little ball and stuffed it in that hole with a pick tool.
I used little pressure and then hooked the harnesses back and and it is silenced. Way easier than what I found on the web. Just took me 2 hours with a mechanics stethoscope to find that tird.

None of this worked on my 2000 f 650, taped wire at key, nothing, cut black pink at column plug, still chiming, it randomly comes on while driving and stays on till I hit a big enough bump,, in bout ready to burn this truck down it's so damn annoying, , where else should I look??
