Question 99 explorer intake speed or maf

Hi all, I have a 99 ford explorer intake with wiring harness and the EEC-V computer. I am trying to figure out whether it uses the speed density sensor or the m a f sensor. I have done some research just to come up to crossroads, as far as I can understand Ford used both types of sensors during this year model. Is there any way to tell by the pig tails on the wiring harness or by the code(s) on the computer case? I am installing this intake on and older model truck to gain e f i. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

To my knowledge, Ford never used a speed density system in any Explorer -- always a mass air system.

Thank you. I was leaning that way to but I needed a little advice. I am also wondering about two plugs on the wiring harness both look like they go to a mass air sensor. I compared them to the one in my 94 ranger and they look the same.

They look the same, but the calibrations are different.
