just replaced intake manifold and valve cover gaskets put it all back together and it wont start. its getting a spark and fuel just wont fire. any ideas?
althought I agree with Bear, you do need to start somewhere.
pop the spark plug out on the #1 cylinder. that'd be forward/ pass side.
feel with a peice of wire/wooden rod/etc in the cylinder as you slowly bar the engine over. When the piston is all the way up thats TDC (tho remember this is a four stroke, and so it does it twice... make sure it's on the right stroke).
buy a haynes manual at least to get some basic idea of whats going on.
well this was a project for me and my dad but he moved so im stuck and i thought i would try this place. but yeah i figured it out my dad explained it to me

or have someone trurn the crank and just put your finger over the hole to feel for the compression stroke, then use the timing mark on the dampener.
