I have a 2004 F250 Super Duty with a 6.0 diesel. This truck seems to be possessed. Sometimes, and I mean sometimes you can be going at highway speeds and the truck develops a "miss". If you accelerate more, it goes away, and then comes back when it gets to a certain load level. Now, there again, it doesn't do this all the time. Is there a simple fix, or a major fix. i am not a diesel guru, so basic English will help. I drive the truck daily, and tow a 4,500lb boat alot. I have a bully dog programer set to "tow". It also has an Airraid air box.
Thanks

When was the last oil/oil filter and fuel filters changed? Are you using OEM filters? Have you checked for codes? Most here want to help but we lost our lease on the crystal ball.
I haven't tried without the programmer. Next time it does it, I will program it back to stock and see what it does. I am useing OEM filters and the oil was changed about 500 miles ago. The man that owned it before me use to put Cetaine additive into the fuel when he was at elevation or pulling something, he said that's what the dealership recommended. He said it worked most of the time.
I don't know if the BullyDog has a decent code reader buil into their programmer or not. It's been a long time since I sold it to my farrier for his dodge, but hook that up and see if it's pulling a cylinder contribution code or not. It may not pick it up, if you have a better scan tool I would suggest using that.
I would think it's a fuel delivery issue. Either filters, fuel pump, or injectors. I think it was asked, but I don't recall seing the answers, when as the filters changed? I would do those first, then check for codes(if you have access to something better then the bullydog that would be the best, I just can't remember how extensive it is with code reading, some tuners are good, some aren't).
