Have you read Donald R. Haulsee's article, in the "tech articles" section of this sight? It's under the 1998 articles, and describes his installation of an EFI 5.0 in his truck. I haven't read the article in a couple of years, but I recall that he had a list of parts and good directions on wiring and computer mounting.

I am in the middle of this project. I built my own harness using the best ends I could find in the bone yard. I also soldered all the connections then sealing them with dielectric grease and shrink wrap. It was a lot of work, put PAINLESS WIRING is not painless on the wallet. If I was being payed to do this for someone I would have went with painless to make this quicker and easier. You can see this at the following web page, which I need to update some of the new pics. There is quite a bit more then putting in an engine and computer. If you decide to do this and need some advise or have questions I will help you with all that I have learned so far.

Get a factory EVTM (electric and vacuum troubleshooting) manual for the donor model, unbelievable amount of wiring details, diagrams and illustrations.
I'd like to do a similar transplant in my 71 F250, with a later model 351w and E4OD.

I used the harness from Ford Motorsports It is in their cat. I ordered mine as a kit and it included all of the wiring, computer, sensors and instructions on installation. It was a lot easier to install than trying to buy items seperatly. If you would like a picture just email me and I will send you a couple of the installation.
