Smoke at start up

Heres the problem, I just had the oil changed and now when I start in the mornings I get bluish white smoke and a miss untill it warms up some. After that it will start great and no more smoke or miss. I put my AutoEnginuity scanner on and did a buzz test and all injectors sounded great and no codes that has to do with the problem. I did the buzz test when the engine was cold before the first start up. I dose start good but just smokes and then a miss.

Yeah, sounds like a burned out glow plug to me.
Nothing at all to do with the oil change.

I'm sure they used the right oil as I watched them change it, Rotela 15-40.
I could be glow plugs so I will have them checked out. With one or two burnt out make it miss untill it warms up?

I am leaving Thursday for Alabama for about 4 mo's for work and am trying to get ducks in a row and that is not top of the list. Will be pulling my 35ft fifth wheer (14,000 lbs).

Smoke and misfiring at idle until the cold cylinders that have the burned out glow plugs heat enough to ignite the fuel.

I wonder if that is my problem. Not overly cold lately and I still get a puff of smoke at startup. Hmmmm. May have to ohm those glowplugs.

Good luck in Alabama. Hope the truck runs great for you.
