Well they went to put my pickup on the transport this evening, put it on the lower level and took it right back off. Driver said it was lifted and he wouldn't take it because it made the car on the upper level too high. I don't know why he didn't rearrange or even let air out of the tires. When I set it up, they asked if it had any modifications, and I wasn't sure if it had a true lift on it or if it was just leveled out. They asked if it was taller than 7', I said no, it's only 6'4". So from what I understand, it doesn't qualify as a "lifted vehicle."
I tried to get a hold of the driver, no answer. He was also two hours late, after he told the guy I bought it from he'd be there at three. I just missed the shipping company as they closed at six.
Anyone have any experience getting irate with a shipping company? They charged my deposit already, man I hate being out money with everything up in limbo. The deposit is chicken scratch, but it doesn't help that I sent payment for a vehicle that is being so difficult to get here.
oh dude... that sucks. that kinda crap makes me flip chit. i kinda have a similar issue goin on with my the sale of my truck at the moment. only part of the money got here, and it was late, so i missed some more bills, which almost doubled what i owed in first place... i know the feelin. i suggest you call em as soon as you can in the mornin and start grillin em. thats what id do anyways.
im a fan of flyin out to get it. then you get to know the truck that much better. might take it to a shop before you head out on the trip and have em do the full inspection, and you should be good to go.

It all comes down to do you want to wait for shipping or risk breaking something far from home. I would agree here that if you're gonna got get it then you should definitely have it fully checked out before driving that far. good luck
