Made a killer deal on a D60. Gonna go it this weekend $250
Was wondering how hard the swap will be from the crappy 250 setup. Or is it almost a direct bolt in?
well did it come with all the tie rod and steering stuff? and there is a sway bracket thing, i forgot what its actually called, but thats a good idea to have too. other than that, should bolt right up. though your truck might sit a lil higher in the front.
Be sure you get the piece that goes under the drivers side that the U-bolts go thru. Without that piece it cannot be bolted up.
This is a very hard to find piece and is not manufactured anymore.
Try to get all of the brackets including the ones for the sway bar also. There is a U-bolt with a hole in the the middle of it and a saddle for it also.
If you are lucky he just dropped the springs and everything is still attached.
I put a KPD 60 under my 1997 f250 and the only thing I had to do was lengthen my torsion bar connecting rods and lengthen the sway bar and grind down less than a 1/8 inch of the center bolt on the spring to get everything to work. I had to lengthen parts only because my truck has five inches of lift, and my factory front drive shaft bolted right up.
