D60 front axle

I have found a used D60 Front axle from a 1995 F-360, and I just wanted to make sure it will still fit under my 1997 F-250. I have the twin I beam front end under my truck now and hate it, so I am looking at doing a swap in the near future. Here is the ad the guy has where he is selling it. How much do these axles usually run when purchasing one?

I have axles for sale out of a 1995 F350 diesel. I will sell together as a pair or separately. The front is a Dana 60 with 4.10 gear with manual hubs. The rear is Sterling 10.25 with a 4.10 rear gear. Both worked well, this was a parts truck and these are some of the last pieces left. $1600 for both axles or $1000 if bought separately. The front end is unbolted out of the truck with springs attached the rear end is still attached to the frame.

Make sure the rear isn't from a cab and chassis truck if you get it.

The front end should be fine though.

if you only buy the front make sure you have the 4.10 gear ratio in the back of your truck otherwise you will either have to swap gears or buy both axles

It should work, X2 on the gears. I just did the swap about a month ago. If you have any guestions PM me. I would get the front springs too if you can, they sit a little higher. Grab the rear blocks too to level it out.

The gear tag on the front should say 4.09 ratio.

That's pretty typical for a good D60. I hear stories of cheaper ones being found, but unless you're lucky they tend to go in the $800 to $1000 range.

The rear axle is only worth a few hundred. They are VERY common.

Prices for 60 axles vary alot by region, thats probably not a bad price if you dont have to rebuild.Even if it is a dualie front axle you already have the parts to convert it on your dana 50,the hubs will interchange, brakes are the same.Grab the springs, spring clamp on the drivers side, track bar, track bar bracket, sway bar and attaching brackets, driveshaft, and calipers anything else you can thats really not a bad price if you get everything.Try to get the steering parts too tierod to steering box.For small misc.parts see MAD 4x4.Enjoy

Yeah it should work, I put a king pin dana 60 from a 1985 f-350 in my 1997 f250. I think the price seems high but I bought a whole truck for 800. Took the dana 60 out and put under my truck and then took my junk spicer 50 and put under donor truck and sold the truck for 700. So I end up with a perfect KPD 60 and new nerfbars for $100

I paid $110 for a complete truck minus engine. I do think that's a little steep, but not too far from average.
