What Causes This? (Cocked Leaf)
And what do I do to keep it from happening again?
Noticed left rear was a tad more bouncy & thought it could be a loose/wore out shock. Instead I've got this leaf that has shifted. Spacing of axle bolts seems to be the same on pass side.

lots of trucks seem to do that. They just shift and move around.

On some spring packs, there are clamps that hold the springs in place to keep that from occuring. My 84 has them, but my 89 doesn't.

Yes it has clamps on the rest of the pack above, same place on both sides & they are equally snug & undamaged. Are the axle U bolts the only thing that hold it parallel with the rest of the pack?

Well, no. The overload leafs (if the truck is so-equipped) are on the TOP of the springpack--not the bottom.

My truck does this a little on the driver side too. Its been that way since I got it back in 99. I have seen alot of trucks like that, so I doubt it is anything to worry about.
