7.3 94 turbo My Injector Pump is leaking were the fuel comes in at the back of the pump I was wondering if the seal could be replace with the IP in the truck or if I have to take it off to do it And if so does the IP have to be timed to take it off
Where the fuel comes in at the back of the pump? Can you clarify with a pic or use vehicle part references? The fuel comes in at the "front" in the middle hard line so i am a tad confused. Thanks
To answer the rest, if the IP is removed, yes timing will need to be reset. I am not sure if it can be done with the IP in the truck as i dont know where you mean!
Don't pull the pump without first asking questions, peeps on here can walk you through it resulting in a better job easier!
Fuel comes in the rear of the IP, From the Filter head via a 5/16" steel line that is sealed with 5/16" Parker Vibra-Loc seals.
Dieselorings.com usually has them, I cannot find them on their site. (They show 1/4" ones)
McMaster-Carr has 3/8" for the Lift pump to Filter 3/8" Vibra-Loc Seals, However I have never been able to find 5/16" ones there. If someone has please forward info.
