OIL light
!989 F150 Super cab 4x4 (1991)5.0.Auto
Put this in a frenids truck a month or so ago,he had a new trany put in right after that.Called me and said he was driving it and the oil light came on and motor shut down started it back up drove home worked fine.
I dodnt think 89 had a sencer to shut down on oil press<9when he stared it back up oil press was good)So any thoughs on this and where to start looking when he brings over

I don't think it has anything to do with oil pressure. The truck died for some reason and the oil light came on just like it does when you turn the key to "on". He's got an intermittant ignition or fuel problem most likely.

Yep
I was thinking that too.His switch will work with or without the key (even when its in the lock part)
Will know more when the truck gets here this weekend.
