Ok noob S/N question

Ok noob S/N question
So I looked at my vin tag to find my serial number and it reads
26SCBC8585
So I believe C8585 is the S/N correct?
Do I need to add 0's, or is it missing 0's, or is it straight 8585?
The truck is a 1978 F250 4x4 Crew Cab

So the S/N is straight 8585, not 85,850 or something odd?
Reason I'm asking is I was looking to replace my shocks and there's
Prior to S/N # Y20,000. and Y20,001 and on.
This is the listing
F250 73-77 - up to S/N Y20,000
F250 77-79 - from S/N Y20,001 - on
I would think being a 78' it would be higher than 8585

Thank you, I originally thought it was just BC8585 but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something because the years appeared off.
