If you have spark then you need to get a fuel gauge and see what you have.
To advance the spark turn the distributor against the rotor rotation.
But I would not move it until you find out what is wrong or you will just make more problems to solve.
Do the fuel pumps run for one second when you turn on the key and then stop?
It does not sound like a computer problem at this point.
But to take the computer out of the mix just unplug the SPOUT jumper and it should start at base timing.
SPOUT = SPark OUTput from the computer to the TFI module to change the timing.
Location not sure with your truck, the 351/302 had it at the base of the distributor as in photo below.
You always remove the SPOUT jumper when setting the timing with a timing light.
Ok thanks for the picture! I just don't get why I can't even get this thing to start off starting fluid it ran great and had tones of power before my brother and buddy got there hands on it maybe possibly jumped a tooth on the timing chain? I guarantee that my buddy and my brother probably just sit in it and rev it guys **** me off lol
How do you know it has spark?
Did you use a spark tester on it?
Have checked the fuel pressure with a gauge?
Until I know these things for sure it is very hard to help you.
Also on the 460 the SPOUT jumper may be over on the drivers fender near the hood hinge.
If I were guessing I would say your TFI module went bad on you.
i checked spark from the coil and pulled out a spark plug and watched for the spark and it has a great spark the plug also looked wet and smelled like fuel
then today i tried unplugging all of my injectors and sprayed more ether in it and it was just starting to run on it ... and i know i have hunted and hunted and everyone i have called does not have a fuel pressure gauge and until i get paid i wont have one but thank you for all your help anyway!
