When I've got 4wd selected the past two days in my Raptor, I get a burning insulation smell in the cab. I'll take it in soon (wonder what I'll get for a loaner!) Has anyone else had this problem?
If it is an electrical smell-get it to the dealer ASAP. One well place short could fry the computer system. I once had a car that had electrical problem which turned into a nightmare till I got rid of it. Let's hope it's a bad switch if electrical. Please report back once everybody figures out what it is.Chris
mine had this smell a couple of times when i first got it...couldn't find anything....
smell hasn't been back
maybe a servo motor for the bend door or something like that...it was coming thru the ductwork for sure though..
hope it doesn't come back
When my truck was new I had a burning smell, To me it smelled like oil leaking on the exhaust. I was told by the dealer that it was the coating on the exhaust.
The smell went away after several hundred miles.
