Door handle fix? Door alignment?
Door handle fix? Door alignment?
I've replaced the bushing on the door striker, but every so often it just keeps wearing and it gets to the point where I REALLY have to slam the door to get it to shut all the way and after a while the door handle doesn't do anything. The door won't 'pop' open and I've broken a handle in the past.
The door seals are in OK shape, not brand new but I could use new ones. I think the door hangs a little low and that causes that striker bushing to wear quickly.
-Any way to get the door to 'pop' open easier?
-How do I adjust the door alignment? The hinges? or is this a bent hinge or something?

If your patient you can check the door for alignment/ bad bushings or hinge pins, sound to me though your latch has met its end as well hinge pin or bushing.
Any way here is how to check and align the door you have to get it open first LOL "once open do not shut it again, until it's right" after you get it open lift up gently on back of door if it moves you pins or bushes are bad if not, slowly close door but not all the way step back and check gap/spacing around door and door opening, if it is out of alignment your in for some fun if its hinge pins/bushes same deal just more work.
There are three bolts behind fender on each hinge two on door itself if it is just down on one end its easy to adjust barely loosen the three bolts on lower hinge going into cab you will need help on the rest, lifting the door back into alignment then tightening the three bolts try and close door if it dose not go gently and click easily the striker is out of position, it can move and be put in wrong position as well. Adjusting it is simple if door itself is aligned correctly.
I advise replacing the hinge pins if they are worn.

Lateral Door Adjustment 1995 Bronco
I have read the (Haynes shop manual and several posts)instructions on how to adjust/align the doors on my 1995 Ford Bronco. However, the instructions state that the door to hinge adjusts vertical and the hinge to frame adjusts laterally. Then, states to loosen the bolts needed for adjustment. My question is I can not see how to get to the hinge to frame bolts. No instructions I can find tell me know to be able to access them and it appears to me that either the door or fender would have to be removed first and removal of the door defeats the purpose as it needs to be in place in order to determine if the adjustment is correct or not (of course supported). My driver's door is slightly rubbing against the fender about at the pinstripe level (2/3 up on panel below window) and when looking at the passenger door alignment from the rear bumper you can see that it is in a little too much on the bottom and out between 1/4 & 1/2" on very top so it appears that the bottom needs to be let slightly out and the top needs to be taken in (which appears is to be done by loosening the bolts from the hinge to frame). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to get creative with swivel adapters, extensions, and box wrenches... I've done this before and it's kind of a PITA but is entirely do-able with standard tools.
I vaguely remember doing it... I think I might've had to take the fender liner loose to reach some of the bolts, or loosened some fender bolts to allow me to reach in.
