E4OD PROBLEMS. NEED HELP!

Hi I have a 94 f150 302 4x4 with the e4od. The tranny won't shift into any gear. I move the shifter from park all the way to 1st. And nothing. Just wondering if this is a major problem or if it could be something less extensive like an electrical issue. ALL HELP IS APPECIATED

you need to make sure the shift linkage is actually shifting down on the side of the trans.maybe the shift cable or bracket down below broke?

Is there a certain tool I can get that does it? All I have is one that reads the engine codes

The code reader that reads engine codes also reads transmission codes.
Are you sure you have an E4OD, most 5.0L had the 4R70W transmission in them.
What is the transmission code on the drivers "B" pillar?
