I need a new PCM for my pickup because of a 511 code. Is there a way to tell from the numbers on the case what it came out of such as engine size, trans type, MAF/SD? Kind of like a VIN decoder type deal
I am leaning more towards a negative on that PCM. In the listing it states "exc. Calif and Mass." That leads me to believe that PCM is for a SD based system, not MAF. In that time period it is my understanding mainly the Cali. vehicles were MAF?
Ok so I need a way to decode the part number because Im coming up with several codes not included in that link.
Anyone know how to decode the F4TFxxxxxxxxx codes on the PCMs?
Well I decided to just go with an A9L, re-pin my connector, and be done with all this. After waiting for an auction on Ebay to finish and get outbid in the last second(), finally found one with a "buy it now" and picked it up, waiting on it to get here now. Hopefully I can get it in and over to the tuning shop so I start having some fun with all the money Ive dropped in this thing, Haven't even got to beat on it at all, computer crapped out on me right after the 500 mile break in for the engine
