Thanks for all the nice comments!
It'll be almost 3 years of hard work (mostly completely on my own) when I'm done. the only thing on the entire vehicle I've not done myself is the propshaft as i had to get a new one made up.
The colour is 'Indigo blue' as used on the european Peugeot 106 (a small hatchback car that was popular over here around 10 years ago). Its got just a hint of purple in it gives it that nice shade. The paint code is EGJ.
Just need to put the front grille/lights etc on this weekend, fit the carpet and fiddle with the front tilt hood and I'm ready to start a final check on everything.
Man I wished I was at this point. I will finish up the putting the new patch panels on the truck in about a week to week in ahafe. Still along way togo.
I've got trouble with my forward tilt kit due to a previous owners bad work - at some point the front fenders were cut for a full tilt then the owner changed their mind and welded them back up!! as a result I've had some headaches trying to get it all lined up and working properly - I'm 98% of the way there now, and just need to make a new guide for the drivers side thats an inch or so longer than the one with the kit. I also installed some adjustable braces at the cab end of the hood as others on here recommended to pull the corners in slightly which helped a lot.
I've got short & smooth stacks front & rear, plus extended rear Y-hangers to keep it as level as possible. I also added both front & rear swaybars to improve the handling. The rear tyres are then just a tiny bit larger than the front.
