I've put 2003 and 2005 lamps in my truck. Upto 05 is pretty simple, they use the same securing mechanism and bulbs. The 05 is a bit more work. Here's my write up on it, http://sites.google.com/site/reax222...edirects=0&d=1
It does take a different bulb so you will need to address the plugs, in my write up I give pns for hi-amp plugs and a little info for building a relay harness to power them.
where do I get the HID's and is it a complete kit? once I update the harness will that work with the HID's or is the harness different if you plan to run HID's?

They are plug and play. You need to mount the ballast's but the bulbs are just plug in's. The HIDs take less current than regular bulbs so there is no need to change anything.
You should be able to flash the high beams with bi-xenons.
I used to have the those but I changed to H1s with projectors which are brighter!
You can but they take a few seconds to get to their max brightness. Plus, it shortens the life of the bulbs. On the plus side, when you do put your high beams on you can see forever!
