Headlight conversion

I have a 2003 X Eddie Bauer V10 4X4.
Looking to upgrade the headlights soon. I don't want to just add HID in the current assembly that I have.
I am looking at installing projector headlights and new corner lights.
I am not a big fan of fleabay or a fan of cheap crap.

I am looking at this set up

cornerlights: 99-01 Ford F250 F350 Excursion LED Bumper & Corner Lights Chrome /w Amber Reflectors (pair)

Headlights: 99-04 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty / 00-05 Ford Excursion 1 Piece CCFL-Halo Projector Headlights /w LED G2 Version - Chrome (Pair) + HID Xenon Lights Kit Package

with HID low beam option 4300K
and kit brand Xetronic Digital G2 HID

HAs anyone dealt with this site?
Are the light quality like they make it look?
Are those lights a direct fit? I am not looking to trim anything.
If I buy this headlight assembly, do I need the cornerlight kit or the new headlight includes the cornerlight in one assembly?

That new headlight is a one piece. I never knew there was aftermarket corner reflectors and signals. Pretty sure no one on this site has used any of what you are looking at. The one piece 05-07 h/L seems to be the way to go. Fleabay is my favorite place to shop-good stuff can be found there.
If you dont want cheap crap, go buy NOS Ford units from Parts Guy Ed/Horizon Ford.
I got the eagle eyes brand 05-07 factory looking units from fleabay with the conversion harness for my 2000 Excursion, they have been on for 6 months and look great, no problems. So, I just ordered yesterday, the Harley H/L conversion from the same place for my 2002 Excursion.

Are they a direct fit or did you have to do some cutting?

I am not discrediting eBay as they have tons of stuff, but I usually find their stuff to be really cheap or anyway the stuff I have received was crap.

Is there a reason why no one has used the headlights I am looking at?
Their website is the 1st result on google when searching for 2003 excursion hid headlight.

What place did you order the headlights from? I'd like to update my 2000 Ex at some point down the road.

I would check ebay. I get alot of my stuff off there. If its for a 99-04 there is no cutting. If you do the 05 conversion you gotta do some cutting.

I've been eyeing these 99-04 EXCURSION CCFL HALO PROJECTOR BLK LED HEAD LIGHTS LAMP | eBay

They look pretty good, you can get the same thing, brand/model, on Amazon but it is closer to $300. Anyone have any opinions on Spyder headlights?

Curt, ur headlights look great but this is not what I'm looking for. I want to upgrade to hid bulbs and stay away from the ricer look inside of the reflectors. I think it looks so much better with a projector.

Personally I think the projector headlights on superduties looks more rice than the 05-07 headlights with HID's.

The projector headlights just don't look right, none of them.

Do you find the headlights work better than stock? What bulbs are you running?

I like the projector headlights. The Halo projectors remind me more of German cars than ricers. I think they will look good on the truck. I am in no particular hurry to upgrade the headlights as the factory ones are pretty good... way better than the factory lights on my OBS F250.

Your comments have brought an interesting question to mind though... I always thought that the projector headlights worked better than other types. Is that not true? Are projector headlights just a gimmick for looks? If that is the case I'll probably still buy them, I don't mind doing something just for looks.

I can't tell you how well they (projectors) work, for me it's just a matter of opinion. I just am not a fan of the projector look. To each their own.

I was thinking that the projector look was not for me, but in the LMC online catalog there is a pic of an Ex with the projectors + clear marker lights that looks pretty nice. Has me thinking, anyway...

For me, I'm not a big fan of how the emitted Hid light looks in a reflector. It's like a huge blast of light, and sometime blue or purple light that comes out of a normal headlight. To me, it just looks cheap. Someone just bought some HID bulbs and put them in. That's it.

I used to have a BMW X5 and I loved how bright those headlights were. It looked clean and sharp. I am just trying to get the best light possible. I have the Sylvania Ultra's right now but even though its better than stock, they just don't do it for me.

Through some different threads here on FTE, I have read how projectors shouldn't be used aftermarket. People just say that projectors don't work well unless it came stock on the vehicle.

Is that true? Does anyone have a relevant explanation as to why?
or is it just the look aspect?
