I don't know if this holds true for all platinum plugs, but the motorcraft platinums are the same plug as the motorcraft coppers, with the exception of platinum plating on the electrode wear surfaces. Conductivity can't be very much different through a few thousandths of platinum when there's a big gap of much higher resistance fuel and air mix in between the two electrodes.
I'm not saying that platinum plugs are really any better than the standard copper core plugs for our trucks, but if they are bad, it's not because of the conductivity of a thin platinum plating.
I use E3's in my truck and my son's 2000 V6 Mustang. My Colorado picked up 2mpg city and 3mpg highway. My son's Mustang runs considerably better. His mpg's are up and would probably be better if he would keep his foot out of it. I use E3's in my outdoor power equipment too. HorsePower TV did a dyno test and the E3's easily beat standard plugs.
From my real world experience they work just as adverticed.
Did you replace new standard plugs with the E3 or did you replace old worn out plugs with the E3? I gained 2-3 mpg on truck when I replaced the plugs and did a tune up the first time.

i bet they were getting paid as they are a sponsor, them shows always trick people into buying what pays their bills

80K miles on my truck. Its a 5cyl so it vibrates. With the E3's I barely notice it. My son's Mustang had maybe 10K on the set of plugs in it before I swapped them.

Show sponsor or not, as I said, real world experience shows they perform AS advertised. I never comment on a product that I haven't actually used myself. How can you put down a product you have never used yourself?
Agreed.. I tried those in my Cavalier back in the day and they were TERRIBLE! I will never touch them again. They were just the regular Boschtchchc craptnum and after a couple hundred miles it ran horrid! As I learned through schooling, though, you cannot split a spark. No way it will happen.
I have sold alot of E3 got a few sets back. last set where in a Taurus, Tips burned off 2 of the 6 and the others looked bad, after only 3000 miles .
SBC ran them 2 days said the where sh**! Looked ok.
My thoughts are stay with Motorcraft or Autolight.
