Debating lift??

Hey guys i have been debating putting a lift kit on my truck for a while now... its my daily driver that i use for my construction business.. right now im getting about 15mpg mixed driving which is not bad but not great as well.... im thinking of adding a 6" lift with 35" tires....

for the people that have this lift on there truck what if any did you lose in MPG? if i can stay around the same i can justify it but if im going to go down to 12mpg ill have to pass...

and yes ill be regearing it if i do go with the kit...

i just looks soo crappy stock height.. i have always lifted all my trucks and so far this one has been stock height for over a year now....

here is a pic of my toy.. but i only drive this thing a few times a month.. its just too big to take anywhere here in los angeles

so what do you guys think? leave my truck stock height?

-Raul

Yep....leave it stock if you don't want to lose mileage........but if your willing to spend the 4k or more to regear and lift......whats 2 mpg?

Just go ahead and do it.What's a couple mpg's compared to looking way better? Regear and get 37's?

if your already worried about MPG, then don't do it. it's a work truck so keep it that way. there are a lot of things that come up with having a lifted truck as a DD, and one of the biggest living in LA is fitting inside parking garages. **** that!!

so enjoy your lifted excursion, and keep the f150 stock.

you can get something in the middle like a level kit and bigger tires, but i would think the tires are what will hurt your mpg. i just got some 35s and i did not see that much of a change but i drive highway most of the time.

You've already go a lifted truck, so you know how bad it sucks to drive one stock. Lift it! It's gotta be way more fun driving in LA with a truck that scares people into getting the hell out of your way!

well.. i think i have decided to just keep the leveling kit it has on it right now and put some 33's on it and some new wheels.... talked to over with my girl and i woudl be dropping around 3k to lift, wheels, tires and regear it... she said we could just put that into buying a rhino

so a leveled 2wd truck is about the same height as a reg 4wd truck?
