K guys so i picked up my new to me Excursion... its a 2001 limited 4wd iwht 139k.. has a 10" DR lift with 40" Toyo's on 20's.. has amp steps, flip down DVD, in dash navi, train horns.... overall its a great truck.. but... there are a couple of things i didnt like so he dropped down the price a lil bit
1) driverside seat is torn at the seam
2) ABS light is on.. traced it to the driverside front ABS wire is cut (prob from rubbing on the tires)
3) Air Bag sensor is on...
other than that its a solid truck.. it does bug me it sits lower in the rear than the front but thats easily fixable with some air bags or longer leafs
Hey Raul...nice Ex! Welcome to the Ex owners club! Haven't seen you over here before.
Everyone, just so you know, I have bought MANY items from Raul the owner of Stealth-Automotive. His customer service and knowledge is awesome. If you need any mod parts, definately give him a chance. Very dependable, honest and great pricing. I definately recommend him. No, I'm not on his payroll, I just believe in getting the word out for great people in the industry.
lol where are you guys seeing an exhaust pipe? it dumps down right over the axle... its a 7.3L.. i wouldnt own anything other than a diesel with something this big...
and its going to get regeared in the next few weeks.. i cant stand it with stock gears... prob thinking 4.56 and might as well put lockers front and rear while im at it.. cause we dont have a true 4wd truck without lockers...
Sorry, my mistake. If you look in the last pic, just below the furthest right-hand backup sensor, there is something that looks like the turned down end of the 5.4 excursion exhaust. Obviously its not - on closer inspection, it is an open space above the axle, just left of the pumpkin... again, my bad!

Glad to hear its a 7.3!
lol now i can see it... that picture is a lil deceiving.. yah i got rid of my 03 7.3L SD because i knew i would be getting a diesel excursion... still debating if this one is too tall or not...
i dont feel it is for me but CHP would think otherwise.. so thinking of droping it down just because i dont want to get hassled
Very nice. You must have some long legs to get up into that. Does it have drop down running boards? The only thing I don't like about the lift is looking at the side view pict, it looks like the front axel needs to move back about 3" to center it in the wheel well. Be curious to know what you get for fuel mileage.
