Back-up sensors.. how does it work..
Picking up an 05 Expy King Ranch for my wife this Saturday. It has the backup sensors and not really sure how these things work.. do the mirrors also adjust for backing up?

You put it in reverse and when you get close to something they beep. When you get really close they beep faster. Just before you hit it, it is a solid tone. There are two systems Ford has used, the '03 MY was split and since then it has been the same. Early 03's were a hybrid sonar and radar (2 round sensors in the bumper, one bar sensor in the hitch area). Later they switched to 4 round sensors. Memory escapes me right now, but I think they are radar.
