When I'm backing up, and I have my travel trailer hooked up, the backup sensor starts howling as soon as the van is placed into reverse. Which makes communications with my spotter very difficult.
I've read on the rv.net forum that the F series trucks have the ability to temporarily disable the sensor using a button on the dash.
I asked the dealer if there was a way to disable this feature when towing, and was told that there is no way to disable it.
Does anyone know if the backup sensor can be disabled on the E350? If yes, then how?
I guess none of us have something this new. My 01 GM mini van has a turn off switch on the dash. You would have to get the schematic and add a switch yourself.
