Undercoating?

Undercoating?
underneith my truck is a bit rusty and i wanted to undercoat it myself with something. I was planning on powerwashing underneith real good then spraying or brushing some sort of undercoating on. What has anyone had good luck with? Thanks!-Matt

Short of maybe using one of the Eastman POR products i wouldn't undercoat it. Undercoating should only take place shortly after purchasing a new vehicle (no rust). Undercoating a rusty frame/chassis will cause the undercoat to lift and allow water/moisture to enter. Rust is like cancer, if not completely removed will continue to spread.
Like i said there are products available that once applied will neutralize the rust. See the eastman link.
