homemade egr delete

homemade egr delete
i found out about a homemade egr delete the guy just wielded up both ends on it i was wondering if anybody has heard of this and if so if its better than the kit you buy online

In the 70's it was as easy as bolting a plate in place of the valve.

On my '06 I removed the EGR up-pipe and welded the "T" closed with a 1.5" steel disc. Works great and saved my a pocket full of dollars.
