Okay, a couple of years ago I purchased some replacement chrome headlight trim for my 85F150 to refresh the look of my truck.
Apparently the quality of chrome paint or finish or whatever you want to call it was not that good of quality.
No big deal since I'm working on restoring the truck and am planning on painting the truck anyway.
I've decided to paint the headlight trim and grill trim to match the truck but still have the black inner of the headlight trim black.
basically, I wanted to know (maybe someone has done it) what is the best method of removing the chrome paint/finish on the headlight trim since its already flaking off?
I thought about sanding, possibly some sort of chemical etc.
Anyone have any methods to do this properly without damaging the headlight trim?
