Paint to match lariat style fender flare

Hi all, my F-150 currently has the short chrome fender trim (or fender flares) if you want to call it that. The chrome just does not go with the flow of my truck..... I've got a all white STX and the chrome just sticks out like a swore thumb.

Anyway, I'm tryin to locate some OEM Lariat style fender trim that I can paint oxford white to match my truck and replace the chrome trim. Since I'm wanting to stick with OEM parts where can I find some at a fair price?

thanks,
Josh

I added the OEM ones to my truck in the sig., and got them from the dealer. They are not very cheap if bought from the dealer! Sometimes they show up in the classifieds (on other forums) and on eBay, but make sure you get the hardware with it!! They don't just "stick-on", they "fasten" to the body. The dealer ones come with hardware.

What do you mean by fasten to the body? do they screw to the inside of the fender or do they use those rivet type clips that you have to drill into the side of the fender?

They are mounted with plastic clips 8-10 per flare I think

It has clips that "push" into the fender. Once you install them, there's no taking them off unless you want to fill in the holes made in the fender. My body guy did all the work so I can't elaborate, but do know holes have to be put in the fender and bed.

thanks for the help guys, I was not aware that the OEM flares had to be mounted by drilling into the fenders. on to the next question....... or should i say questions..... since I'm not going to have holes drilled into my perfectly good fenders..... where can i find something aftermarket that is a quality part and that meets the following needs:

-fender flares similar to look and size of the Lariat and FX4
-Smooth and paintable
-mounts by using screws on the inside fender well and 3M tape (no drilling into body panels)

any more help and links will be greatly appreciated.

thanks again,
Josh

I startin to think I'm still going to go ahead and get some of the Lariat or Fx2 factory flares. I read somewhere that some one installed the factory lariat flares by using some screws on the inside of the fender well and some 3M on the inside of the flare. May end up going this route especially since this gives me the factory flare look without having to drill holes in the side of my fenders. I've got to locate some now

Maybe Autoanything might have something:

Factory Style Fender Flares, Fender Trim

Usually a pretty good place to deal with.
