ok i moved to Wildwood, NJ and alot of the stores down here are higher than the streets so they have the concrete ramps goin up to the parking lot. last night i was backing out of the China House, the truck was twisted a bit from the angle i was goin and the ABS light came on. it stayed on till i got home which is like a mile away. i turned the truck off in front of the condo and restarted. the light didnt stay on so i drove round the block and still didnt come on. what could cause this to happen? thanks for any info guys
thats what i was thinking but didnt know if the sensors would throw the light as a failure indicator. how's your 1's doin? what kind of boost you gettin
I'd check that wire harness too. It probably just got pulled on the sensor and lost connection for a second. The ABS light will stay on till you shut it off then repeat it's check cycle when you restart it, then go out and stay out if the fault is gone. It's most likely the wire connector back on the axle.
Napa and Oreilleys have that pigtail now in case anyone needs one. It's black and white wires on it so you have to be careful about getting the right wires connected if you use it but it is pretty cheap.
That part should be ok there but be real careful with electrical and electronic parts like alternators, starters and sensors there. I have had nothing but trouble with them over the years. It's hard for them to have the prices they do and stock well made parts. Their plug wires are the worst in the business!
