Need bigger mirrors for hauling.
I have a 94 Turbo IDI, and in the summers I keep my camper on the back, but it hangs over the sides of the bed and is very tall so I cannot see much at all in my mirrors. I have seen the clip on towing mirrors, but I think that they look bad. Is there a larger towing mirror that fits on these trucks that I can buy? I have searched online and don't find any options. All of the newer trucks have giant telescoping mirrors, is there anything like this for the mid '90s trucks?
i have a set of 'sure-view' mirrors on my crew 4x4 f350 tow truck, i love em. they each have 2 panes of glass mounted at different angles, plus i stuck on a 1 inch fish eye on both sides..... i can see everything from my tailgate / bedside junction to my rear center hubs on the rear axle ! they are about 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide, i mounted them on the stock mirror arms that are on the truck. try google " sure-view mirrors"....heres a generic picture.
Currently I have the factory towing mirrors (tripod flip over style) on one of mine, they work pretty well, but I hate the way they look and their mounting location.

Same here. They don't see well alongside the utility box/boom on my F450. If they were extended another 4-6 inches, which I could rig up, it would be fine. Was just seeing if anyone knew of anything I could just bolt up.
I could see where the box would block them....I have thought about moving mine about 6" further forward to try to get a little more visibility, with the other benefit of not having to turn your head as far to see the mirror. I have not tried it yet, but it's a thought.
I have also been seriously considering mounting RV/bus mirrors up on the front fenders, it would look kind of funky, but visibility would be much improved

Do a search in this forum for west coast.
Someone just installed a set of West Coast Jr. mirrors on their truck and that thread has several photographs. Wasn't more than about 2 weeks back.

if you don't want the expense or dont want to drill new holes for west coast mirrors,**** makes these that slip right on.(provided you have the correct newer slim style mirrors.)
